Shrub

Description: A shrub is a drinking vinegar made of equal parts fruit, sugar, and vinegar. The preferred way to make a shrub is by mixing the three ingredients cold and leaving it in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours. The shrub gets better with age and should be fine in the refrigerator for at least a month. Many different shrubs can be made. Berries and red wine vinegar are natural, with simple syrup. Pineapple and Apple cider would go well too.
