Demerara Syrup

Description: For making demerara syrup: Use a 2:1 ratio of demerara sugar to water. Combine the sugar and water in a pot and stir to dissolve over medium heat until simmering. Remove from heat and allow to cool. This syrup is great to use interchangeably for sugar cubes in cocktails like an Old Fashioned. The syrup should keep refrigerated for about a month.
